When you think of comfort food, what comes to mind? No doubt there are special holiday dishes or those special treats that remind you of home, of childhood, or of the warm and satisfied feeling you get when you indulge.

But when is comfort food more than just food? It might sound extreme or harsh, but it becomes more than food when you begin to abuse it. When you become overweight because you eat too much and you eat too much because it brings you pleasure, you're abusing food, and typically comfort foods in particular.

Think of the foods that you know you eat, not because you need the nourishment those dishes will provide, but for other reasons instead. For instance:

- Those high calorie, sugary treats that simply satisfy your sweet tooth.
- Those salty packaged foods.
- The deep fried or cheese smothered appetizers you always have when out with friends.
- Those big portions of any food that you eat simply so you have that "stuffed" feeling.
- The munchies you have at night or when at your desk at work, which you eat and eat
and eat without even a second thought.

You may have a particular food that you know you're eating for comfort rather than nourishment; for women it may be chocolate and for men it may be something salty or a big slab of meat.
Honestly saying I have no vast knowledge about When Comfort Food is More Than Just Food each and ever point include huge knowledge and which ever becomes gerat guide for newbie .
